With an over 90,000 strong crowd at the Essendon Vs Collingwood battle you would have thought that the umpires would have been a little better. I heard that Collingwood (not my words) had an extra 3 players on the ground dressed in yellow. Is this true? I got caught out on Port Phillip Bay and missed most of the game damn it. I watched the end of the third and then thne last. There were some very ordinary decisions made in Collingwoods favour in the last. At one stage the Bombers applied 5 good tackles in a row in their forward 50 and not a single kick for their trouble. One tackle done the opposite end resulted in a free kick and a goal to Coll.ingwood. Are Collingwood becoming a protected species with the umps?
Essendon played well – regardless of some ordinary umpiring decisions they still were no where near as good as collingwood.
Tips for Round 6:
West Coast
Sydney
Kangaroos
Richmond
Adelaide
Essendon
Collingwood
