Money – Pretty Boy – The Best Ever

It is impossible to hit smoke.  You might disperse it but it makes no difference.  You can move and wave at it but smoke envelopes you and penetrates you.

Floyd Mayweather moves like smoke.  When he sees an inch of an opening, his punches are smoke, breaking through the defence.  He is obscenely accurate.  Opponents don’t see the punches, they feel them.

Writers block – it is Charles Bukowski’s fault

I can’t write.  Maybe it’s because I spent a week transcribing an interview.  Maybe it’s all the shifts I’m doing at work.  Coming into the round I had nothing.  Determined to force it out, I had just sat down with a few thoughts and put my fingers on the keyboard when Kristine interrupted me.

‘We have to do the chicken,’ she said.

Charles Bukowski wrote about the AK47. I couldn't write about football.
